We offer positions in the following areas:


General Office:

General office team members are responsible for clerical support. These duties include answering telephones and e-mails, copying, faxing, filing and data entry


Closing Agents:

Closing agents review, balance, close, disperse and follow up our files. 


Account Representatives:

In addition to closing our files, Colonial Title Company’s account representatives must service the house clientele, their own clientele and solicit new business. Account representatives should be dynamic, goal-oriented individuals with a will to succeed.


Processors:

Processors process all closing packages. This includes the preparation of all closing documents, review of those documents, balancing files and file follow-up. This position requires a skilled, high-energy, multi-task personality.


Examiners and Abstractors: 

Abstractors are responsible for all tax and title exams. They organize and prepare commitments and work with our team to clear files to close.


Management:

Each department has a team of managers that keeps the Colonial Title Company machine in working order. These positions require previous management experience.


Legal Department: 

Colonial Title Company periodically offers legal clerkships to qualified individuals. Duties include working with our legal department on litigation, solving legal problems that arise prior to and after closing and drafting legal documents. Requirements for this position include an undergraduate degree from an accredited college as well as current enrollment in a Michigan Bar Association approved Law School.
